Can Apple Cider Vinegar Help with Fat Burning?

I wouldn't normally
consider trying a fat burner detox drink each morning. Why? I feel these posts are click bait and cons.  BUT I have had a good friend tell me several times I should try drinking a shot of Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar each morning to help with weight management, so I figured why not give it a try.

In the spring of 2021, my annual check up showed a few health trends that needed to be addressed and step one of that was dealing with the roll around my middle.  In case you didn't know, carrying most of your fat around your waist comes with much higher risks of issues with your health.

In July of 2021, after talking with a friend who is personal trainer and a fitness competitor, I decided what approach I wanted to use - calories in/calories out. I fired up my Lose It app to record every single thing I ate and drank, plus any exercise I completed each day.  I don't believe in diets - they just aren't sustainable long term This program gave me a calorie count to stay within each day (want to eat more then exercise more). While it's best to make healthy food choices, as long as I didn't exceed my caloric total for the day I had the freedom to eat what I wanted.

The first fifteen pounds fell off in just a couple months, but then I plateaued. I didn't gain weight over the holidays - so that was a win - but after three months of making only a little progress, I am ready to give something out of the box a try. I'll stick with my calories in/calories out plus exercise approach, but I am going to add that shot of Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar to my morning routine for seven days straight.  After seven days I'll see if there was any significant change in my weight. As I am still following my calories in/calories out routine, small changes will still occur. So it has to be a noticeable difference.

For those who want to try this along with me, but can't stomach a straight shot of the vinegar (who knows, I may struggle with that too), I did find the recipe below for a Fat Burning Detox Drink on a site called Raining Hot Coupons. As I start slow in the morning, I would prefer not to have to mix up a drink in a blender and have to wash it, but this would definitely be a more palatable option.

To be honest, I find it hard to believe that drinking a shot of cider vinegar every morning will raise my metabolism. But when you've been working on slowly dropping pounds for a long time and have been stalled on a plateau for while, I think just trying something new might help me refocus and keep going. So I am off to the store to buy my Braggs Vinegar and will be starting the experiment tomorrow.  Check back in a week for updates.
