Synopsis -

The Art of Revenge is a riveting, action-packed, suspenseful and at times terrifying chase around the world that will have gritty thriller lovers salivating for more - a must read for those who like hanging on the edge of the cliff by only their fingers.

The Art of Revenge features two unlikely heroes. Anthony Provati is a jazz pianist, art gallery owner, and sailor, who has a mob boss uncle. Valentina Esposito was orphaned at birth but is rewriting her destiny by becoming a brilliant computer programmer. They undertake a global pursuit of murderous Russian and North Korean operatives to foil a terrorist plot funded by forgeries and the ransom of stolen paintings.

Review -

The Art of Revenge has a little bit of everything - interesting characters (including a strong woman which I love), the mob, spies both local and international, art theft, art scams, danger both personal and on a national scale, and more.  The story moves forward at a steady pace, so perfect for those wanting to stay drawn in from first page to last.

The book opens by introducing us to some of the back story on both Anthony and Valentina which helps set the stage for where they fit into the plot that develops. Both have secrets. Both have regrets. They meet through their connection to Anthony's uncle who is a mob boss. Another story line blossoms in the Russian Embassy where a plot is hatched without the government back home's knowledge to wreck havoc and destruction in the U.S. It requires lots of money - so they turn to art theft and art forgery.  It requires deniability - so they create a trail of crumbs to North Korea.

Through pursuit of the art thefts and forgeries, Anthony and Valentina (who is a dark web master) start to realize more is going on and get drawn into a spider's web of intrigue. Their lives are threatened several times. Can they discover enough of the facts to help the FBI avert a disaster?
