Chynna Mamawal is a much-lauded Filipino fashion designer from the Philippines known for her fanciful, dreamy and whimsical feminine aesthetics. Born and raised in Manila, Chynna has always been fascinated by fashion and design. After completing a university degree in Business Entrepreneurship, she pursued her passionate love for fashion in a Fashion Design School in Manila. Here, she easily became the standard and inspiration for aspiring young fashion designers.Chynna's designs are an intricate blend of elements that are both delicate and modern. Fragile yet Fierce. Subtle yet Unconcealed. Her collections are inspired by her country’s resplendent culture, and are recognized for their vibrant colors, luxurious and intricate beadwork; and flowy, lacelike silhouettes. Chynna's work is a celebration of femininity and grace and she is often lauded for her efforts to promote Philippine fashion on the global stage. Chynna's designs have been featured in several local and international fashion magazines; her work has also been showcased in several local show. Her work has been recognized by the Philippine fashion industry, describing as the “Designer to The Stars.”
Apart from her work in fashion, Chynna is a firm believer in promoting Filipino talent and works closely with local master cutters, bead artisans, sewers and craftsmen in creating her designs. Chynna's commitment to her craft and her country has made her one of the most respected fashion designers in the Philippines. Her unique designs and innovative approach to fashion have inspired a new generation of designers and fashion enthusiasts, and she continues to push the boundaries of Philippine fashion with her work. She is ready to break the glass ceiling for Filipino designers as she debuts her work international fashion scene

"Wise beyond her years, Chynna Mamawal is a young designer emerging with utmost grace and confidence–two characteristics embodied by her designs. A trained entrepreneur and an artist at heart, her strong foundation in business and her distinct taste in fashion led her to build the Chynna Mamawal Atelier and further explore the depths of it. Charging ahead, her bright-eyed outlook on the fashion world allows her to subtly stun people through incorporating elegant twists in her feminine designs.
Her journey in breaking into the fashion industry began when she was just in college with her previous clothing line, Curves, a small fashion empire that catered to the different body types of every woman. Years later, she joined SM Retail Inc. and spearheaded the marketing team of SM Woman and GTWbySM. She is the woman behind its successful campaigns and marketing efforts. A proud achievement of hers would be the SM Woman’s 2017 Holiday campaign featuring Kim Jones. She then went on to study at the Institute of Creative Entrepreneurship, honing her skills as a budding craftswoman in the world of fashion today."
Who are you as a designer? Aesthetic? Customer? Brand?

In my case, nothing is easy nor hard because every piece we make is made passionately, but definitely our strength would be red carpet looks.
Where do you find inspiration for new collections? How important is colour to your design process?
My only intent is to provide women with what they truly deserve: The best.
"Taking sartorial cues inspired by her travels, Chynna Mamawal learned early on that her designs and her styling must, one day, ooze sheer femininity and sophistication. As a designer with a meticulous eye for detail, she constructs each and every piece with high value–may it be a bold slit on a gown or a delicately placed bow."
I wanted to highlight our beading skill and play of texure in our suits. I want to showcase Filipino talent and art into the global scene.
I love all of our works! I have no favorite. I can say that this is our best collection yet.
