I think Fashion Design is a career that allow us to express ourselves through different clothes, choosing colors guided by the way we are feeling in that right moment, making men and women feeling confident, choosing that outfit that makes them look beautiful.
How did you learn your skills?
Since I was little I was obsessed with fashion, I started studying fashion marketing in Mexico City and then I went into fashion design at Marangoni Institute at Milano
Who are you as a designer? Aesthetic? Customer? Brand?
I consider myself an innovative and trendy woman that looks to highlight the beauty in every woman, with forms and designs that benefit any woman and make them feel comfortable and confident while wearing them.
MÄKIRA is a Mexican brand established in the 2015. Our pieces stand out for their unique sewing and modern designs for an elegant, sophisticated and very feminine woman. Our objective is to give a unique, exclusive and innovative touch to the garments, creating their own and different style.
The easiest part for me is choosing the prints and colors, designs and fabrics , all the creative process.. the hardest is trying to develop a personal style that makes you different to any other designer.
Where do you find inspiration for new collections? How important is colour to your design process?
I inspire in the beauty of nature, the tropical vibes, and all that trendy woman that likes to stand out at every special occasion, always looking sexy and elegant at the same time.
I think the colour is the MOST important part in my design process, because our vibrant colors, and tropical prints are what gives life and uniqueness to every dress.

I am looking to expand the brand to different countries so everyone can be able to visit and fall in love with our designs.
Honestly, I can’t choose one, for me all of them are beautiful :)
