Please share a bit about your journey to embrace fashion design as a career.
I grew up in a business family where fashion aesthetics were held in high regard. I always dreamed of becoming famous, and being remembered for my work. Launching my own fashion label was always my dream.
How did you learn your skills?
I was fortunate to get a chance to study fashion design at Nottingham Trent university in the UK, where I earned my bachelor's degree.
Indian label ANK by Amrit presented a trendy and brightly colored travel-ready collection. The brand was founded by designer Amrit Kaur in 2016. She has studied at the Pearl Academy in Delhi, Central Saint Martins in London, and Nottingham Trent University.

I grew up in a business family where fashion aesthetics were held in high regard. I always dreamed of becoming famous, and being remembered for my work. Launching my own fashion label was always my dream.
How did you learn your skills?
I was fortunate to get a chance to study fashion design at Nottingham Trent university in the UK, where I earned my bachelor's degree.
It is a contemporary South Asian brand with aesthetics of Boho Chic and a blend of culture. Our styles are edgy and modern with a touch of sustainable and culturally rich design. Our clients can be anyone but we have been followed more by young brides and bridesmaids.
What comes easiest for you as a designer? What is hardest?
The easiest as a designer is to get inspired or motivated by seeing new cultures and traditions.
I won’t say hardest but yes Making the inspiration or culture in new design is work of art.
Where do you find inspiration for new collections? How important is colour to your design process?
My inspiration is sparkling and gold Indian traditional fabric’s rich textile collaborating with modern style and drape. Colors represent the look and set the mood of design so colours in the design process are really important.

The collection is about traditional clothing textile of India and making it look modern contemporary style with aesthetic of western fashion
