Interview -

Please share a bit about your journey to embrace fashion design as a career.

Our journey into fashion has been shaped by a lifelong immersion in art, culture, and global experiences.

From a young age, we were fascinated by fashion—not just as clothing but as a form of self-expression. We grew up appreciating how style could reflect personality, confidence, and creativity.

We were born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand, a city full of energy, creativity, and cultural diversity. Growing up in Bangkok, we were constantly surrounded by a mix of tradition and modernity. The city’s vibrant street style, rich textile heritage, and dynamic fashion scene played a huge role in shaping our aesthetic. Bangkok is a place where cultures merge—whether through fashion, food, or art—and that diversity deeply influenced our perspective on style.

Our journey took us to Japan, where we studied from high school and later graduated in Humanities from Kyoto Seika University, an art university known for fostering creativity and innovation. Being in such an artistic environment surrounded by designers, creators, and visionaries profoundly shaped our perspective. It gave us a deep appreciation for aesthetics, craftsmanship, and the meaning behind every design. Studying in the Faculty of Humanities also helped us understand culture and identity, which later became core elements of TRIKUL.

Living in Japan also taught us the importance of detail and quality in fashion. Japanese design, whether in clothing, architecture, or everyday objects, is rooted in precision, functionality, and minimalism. We were especially inspired by how Japanese fashion effortlessly blends tradition with modernity—whether through the rich textures of traditional textiles or the bold, avant-garde styles. This exposure pushed us to think beyond trends and focus on creating timeless pieces that are both stylish and thoughtfully designed.

Our perspective expanded even further when we moved to the UK for our master’s degrees—Thanyaporn in Business Management (University of Westminster) and Human Resources (Queen Mary University of London), and Thanchanid in Marketing (Newcastle University London). London, with its mix of cultures and styles, was a transformative experience for us. Being in one of the world’s fashion capitals allowed us to explore everything from high-street brands to luxury couture. We traveled extensively across Europe during this time, immersing ourselves in different fashion scenes, from the effortless elegance of Paris to the edgy street styles of Berlin. These experiences deepened our understanding of diversity in fashion and reinforced our belief that clothing is a powerful tool for self-expression.

When we decided to start TRIKUL, we knew we wanted to bring all these influences together. We saw a gap in the market for clothing that balances quality, style, and affordability. Many luxury brands focus on exclusivity, while fast fashion often sacrifices quality. Our goal was to create a brand that empowers women— making them feel confident and elegant in everyday life—without the need to spend excessively.

For us, TRIKUL is more than just a clothing brand; it’s a representation of who we are and what we believe in. Fashion should be empowering, accessible, and meaningful. Through TRIKUL, we hope to inspire confidence in every woman who wears our designs, helping them embrace their individuality while feeling stylish and comfortable. No matter where they are in the world, we want them to feel connected to a brand that values culture, creativity, and self-expression—just as we do.

How did you learn your skills?

We don’t have formal degrees in fashion design, but our journey has given us something just as valuable— real-world experience. We’ve always been passionate about fashion, and our perspective has been shaped by seeing the world.

When we started TRIKUL, we knew we had to learn by doing. One of the most challenging but rewarding parts of our journey was working closely with manufacturers. In the beginning, we spent countless hours discussing designs, learning about fabric selection, and understanding the production process. We had to communicate our ideas clearly and refine our designs through trial and error. It wasn’t easy—we faced many challenges, from finding the right materials to ensuring the final product met our expectations. But we took the time to learn, improve, and push ourselves to get every detail right.

Every piece we create goes through a meticulous process to make sure it aligns with our vision. We’re deeply involved in every step, from sketching ideas to selecting the perfect textures and finishes. We believe that quality and design should go hand in hand, and that’s why we work so hard to ensure that TRIKUL clothing is not just stylish, but also well-made and thoughtfully crafted.

For us, fashion isn’t just about technical skills—it’s about creativity, perspective, and understanding what makes people feel confident. Our brand is built on these values, and we continue to learn and evolve every day.

Who are you as a designer? Aesthetic? Customer? Brand?

As designers, we see ourselves as storytellers. We didn’t come from a fashion design background, but we bring a unique perspective shaped by our experiences around the world. Our approach is intuitive—we design by feeling, observing, and understanding what makes people feel confident and empowered. Every piece we create is a reflection of our journey, blending elements from different cultures, art, and personal expression.

TRIKUL’s aesthetic is modern, sophisticated, and effortlessly chic. We focus on timeless silhouettes with subtle statement details—pieces that are minimal yet impactful. We take inspiration from the clean lines and craftsmanship of design, the bold creativity of style, and the effortless elegance fashion. Our designs are versatile, allowing women to express their individuality while maintaining a sense of refinement and ease.

Our customer is a confident, modern woman who values quality and thoughtful design. She isn’t defined by trends but rather curates her wardrobe with pieces that make her feel strong, stylish, and comfortable. She appreciates fashion as a form of self-expression and seeks clothing that balances sophistication with wearability.

As a brand, TRIKUL stands for empowerment, quality, and accessibility. We believe that great design shouldn’t be limited to luxury price points, so we focus on creating high-quality pieces at reasonable prices. Every garment is designed with intention, ensuring that our customers feel their best when they wear TRIKUL. Ultimately, we want our brand to inspire confidence and individuality—helping women embrace their own unique style with elegance and ease.

What comes easiest for you as a designer? What is hardest?

For us, nothing comes easy because we focus on every detail. Every step of the process—designing, selecting fabrics, refining silhouettes, ensuring the perfect fit—requires deep attention and dedication. We don’t take shortcuts because we believe that great design is in the details.

At the same time, nothing feels truly hard because we are willing to put in the work. We see every challenge as part of the journey. Whether it’s perfecting a design, communicating our vision to manufacturers, or refining the smallest elements, we take the time to do it right. It’s a continuous learning process, but we embrace it fully.

For us, being designers isn’t just about creativity—it’s about persistence, problem-solving, and never settling for “good enough.” That’s what makes TRIKUL what it is.

Where do you find inspiration for new collections? How important is colour to your design process?

Our inspiration comes from everywhere—our travels, the art and culture we’ve experienced, and the emotions we want to evoke through our designs. Each collection tells a story, capturing a mood or a feeling that resonates with the modern woman’s lifestyle. For our upcoming collection, Endless Days, we wanted to create a sense of timelessness and freedom—the feeling of long, beautiful days that stretch on without limits. It’s about effortless elegance, where the clothes move with you, whether you’re on a beach, in the city, or just embracing life’s moments.

Versatility is at the heart of this collection. We designed each piece using luxurious chiffon fabric, focusing on both rich plain colours and delicate prints. The light, flowing texture makes it perfect for any occasion, allowing women to transition seamlessly from day to night. Colour plays a huge role in our design process. It’s not just about trends; it’s about emotion. Every shade is carefully chosen to complement the mood of the collection and enhance the wearer’s confidence. In Endless Days, we’ve selected a palette that feels fresh, elegant, and timeless—hues that reflect nature, serenity, and effortless beauty.

For us, designing is about creating pieces that feel as good as they look. Every detail, from fabric choice to colour selection, is intentional. We want women to feel free, confident, and beautiful in TRIKUL.
