Lasalle College Vancouver -
Fashion is about so much more than clothes – it’s a multi-billion-dollar, world-wide industry brimming with opportunities for those who have the drive, skills, and training. LaSalle College Vancouver’s Fashion programs are globally renowned for setting the standard of innovative and supportive fashion design and marketing education. LCV conceived its fashion programs with the same attention to detail used in the construction of a garment. The courses were designed to put graduates at the forefront of the industry with real-world skills they’ll use every day.
From the classroom to the runway, students get the chance to showcase their vision at special events, competitions, fashion shows and photo shoots while they develop their portfolio. As designer Ralph Lauren said, “Fashion is about something that comes from within you.” At LaSalle College Vancouver, we help you bring what is inside you to the world stage.
Keiya Nagai - Echo
Mathew is a visionary designer whose work transcends traditional fashion, delving into the emotional depths of self discovery and the fragmented nature of identity. With a foundation in conceptual design, he challenges the boundaries of fashion by weaving together vulnerability, strength, and authenticity into each collection. His designs explore the transformative power of embracing one's true self, capturing the profound beauty in imperfection and the chaos that leads to liberation.
Sentimental Records is a capstone collection by designer Keiya, stemming from a deep curiosity about family heritage. Keiya has always felt that their family history played a significant role in shaping their identity, both as an individual and as a designer. This connection grew stronger after they recently reconnected with distant relatives, deepening their appreciation for this rich lineage. The theme is particularly relevant in today’s society, where globalization has connected us to the world, but simultaneously caused a disconnect from our own cultures, traditions, and core values. In an era where nothing seems to last, Keiya questions what can be preserved as heirlooms to pass on to future generations. This collection reflects the delicate balance between honoring heritage and adapting to the evolving global landscape.

Daly Bouskill - Schism
Daly is a dynamic designer, stylist, and creative, blending technology with bold, playful concepts. Skilled in CLO 3D, they draw inspiration from icons like Lady Gaga and Dorian Electra, to internet culture, and nostalgic eras from the ’70s to the 2000s. Constantly pushing boundaries, Daly combines real-world experience with cutting-edge tools to create discourse through design.
Schism explores the deepening divides in politics, gender, and culture through striking, satirical design. By juxtaposing conservative motifs in women's garments with liberal themes in masculine looks, the collection reflects both the starkness of cultural rifts and the complexities beneath them. Each piece challenges conventional views on identity and power, using bold contrasts and unexpected details to spark conversation. Schism is both a critique and an invitation, urging viewers to reconsider the forces that separate us and the possibilities for connection.

Anahita Heydari - The Ouroboros
Anahita Heydari celebrates the beauty of imperfection and the art of continuous growth. To her, clothing is more than fabric—it is a form of alter ego, a vessel of soul and energy. What you wear has the power to transform you, to empower you. Her designs embrace the feminine silhouette, allowing the body to take center stage. The body is the canvas, and garments are the paint, each piece crafted to enhance, not overshadow, the natural form.
The Ouroboros is a collection inspired by the phrase “construction through destruction,” which carries a powerful, paradoxical resonance. It suggests a process of growth or creation that requires dismantling or breaking down something that currently exists. This concept could apply to personal transformation, artistic innovation, or even societal change. Its appeal lies in the inherent tension: destruction often feels negative, but here, it becomes a necessary step for building something new. The collection evokes cycles of renewal, like the way snakes shed their skin, symbolizing the breaking of traditional molds and embracing imperfections to create something truly unique. The Ouroboros reflects the raw, dynamic, and unapologetically honest themes of transformation and the beauty of reimagining.
