The fashion spotlight returns to Vancouver as this highly anticipated International Fashion Gala prepares to dazzle audiences on May 16th at the Museum of Vancouver. This season's celebration of style and artistic expression promises to be heavenly, with a celestial-themed showcase presented by the event's well-known founder and producer, David Chen.

Chen, whose previous galas have drawn acclaim for their innovative fusion of fashion, art, and cultural expression, representing the city’s multi-ethnic flavour while it continues to elevate Vancouver's position in the global fashion scene. "Each gala represents a journey through artistic expression that transcends traditional boundaries," Chen remarked at last season's event, a philosophy that will be clearly reflected in this upcoming fashion-fusion experience.

At the heart of this season's presentation is a much-anticipated runway show by award-winning hair, fashion and costume designer Myles Laphen. Known for his theatrical creations that blend avant-garde elements with wearable art, Laphen's previous collections have featured dramatic silhouettes, unexpected material combinations, and meticulous craftsmanship that transforms models into living art installations.

For this showcase, Laphen has crafted a breathtaking "Sun Goddess" character specifically for international model and international event coordinator Myriam Callot of Callot Events, who will walk the runway in both shows and always leaves her mark on every event she helps to orchestrate. Callot, has graced countless magazine covers, most recently featured in spreads for Roosa, Mouveux, Star Magazine, Darkly World Photography Magazine and more brings her considerable industry experience to ensure flawless execution of Chen's artistic vision.

Adding to the multisensory experience, renowned Japanese-LA floral artist Hikaru Seino Ganon returns to create his signature floral headpieces that have become a hallmark of the International Fashion Gala. Ganon's botanical sculptures merge traditional Japanese flower arrangement techniques with contemporary design, creating wearable art that complements many of the celestial-inspired creations with the added wow factor of watching him create on the spot!

The gala has two presentations—a 3:00- 5:00 PM afternoon show and a 7:00- 9:00 PM evening event—with formal attire requested for all attendees. The evening presentation has already sold out, reflecting the extraordinary demand for this much anticipated event.
