I Choose To Love Both of You
by Marilyn R. Wilson

Our first meeting.
Casual words shared
Subtle body cues radiated heat
We drew together not realizing
The depths we would explore

Weeks later we met alone
Our bodies soon collided
The connection powerful
Deep down our souls responded
We knew.

As we journeyed together
Hidden depths were revealed
Some arose in a golden light
Beautiful to behold
Joyful to embrace. BUT

Darkness arose too.
Flaws, pettiness, hurts
Old scars and the pain of trauma.
Angry, boiling words flew
Hot tears flowed.

Souls are a chaotic blend
of the dark and the light
The best binds us closer
The worst helps us heal
I embrace both dark and light.

I choose to love both of you.
