Poetry - Stars Fall Softly From Her Soul

Stars Fall Softly From Her Soul
By Marilyn R. Wilson

She was the mother ship
So named by one daughter
A perfect image created
And said with great love

Heart full of compassion
Acceptance and hope
Laughter contagious
A wide joyous smile

Filled with celestial music
Her bones were strong keys
Her muscles taut strings
Her soul offered the score

Family held first focus
Friends, students followed
Her home filled with warmth
A port in their storms

No matter how busy
In a gathering of many
She made time for each
A few words and a smile.

Journey here now ended
The universe her new home
She still touches our heart as
Stars fall softly from her soul.
