Review -

Probably the biggest thing I want to share about the Fiona Quinn Mystery series is that they are a truly fun read.  There is murder, but the touch is light. The cast is full of characters meant to put a smile on your face, and they do.  Yes there are hijinks, yes there are moments of drama, and yes there is a murder. But when you finish you'll be able to turn the lights out and go to sleep. And that's the beauty of cozy murder mysteries.

Bon Voyage to Murder is the 2nd book in this series. The story takes place in two locations this time around. First there is Fiona and Nathan on a cruise. Then we also follow what happens with Fiona's brother who is house sitting and taking care of her beloved fur baby - a Maltese named Harriet.  On the cruise Fiona and Nathan discover a serious animosity between two older country singers - one performing and the other a passenger. When the performer is murdered, the captain asks Nathan to step in to assist the investigation and of course, Fiona helps.  A second attack on a maid who overheard a fight raises the bar. They need to find the murderer quickly before someone else dies.

Meanwhile, at home Fiona's brother manages to forget Harriet outside and the next day when he finally realized he never let her back in, she is no where to be found. His struggles to locate the dog, and the band of gaming friends in full gaming costumes he assembles to help, add a serious dose of humor to this story.  Will they find Harriet before Fiona returns?

I really encourage you to read this series in order. While each can stand alone, there are many references from book 1, such the secret of Fiona's grandmother making coffee every morning. Yup there's a secret. I think this is a great series for tweens, teens and adults who like an easy read, light murder mystery.
